Aged Care Direct - technology advisory service

The DoHA "Aged Care e-connect" website has a page devoted to case studies about the experiences of aged care staff in the implementation of technology, the processes involved, some of the challenges and issues and the benefits.

The website has ten case studies setting out the lessons learned in the implementation of:

1. an incident management database, 
2. wireless care management system, 
3. computerized care plans,
4. electronic prescribing, 
5. pain management online consultations,
6. on the road paperless resident records,
7. internet café for residents,
8. managing after hours care, 
9. technology assisted daily living and
10. an e-system for integrating clinical care and resident information with financial, maintenance and staff roster information.
